Metro South Adult Basic Education has been named a 2013 Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program of Excellence by the Minnesota Department of Education and the Literacy Action Network.
Metro South is one of three ABE programs in the state to earn the Program of Excellence award. Others are Hubbs of St. Paul Public Schools and Rochester ABE.
The designation qualifies the three programs as finalists for MDE’s Programs of Excellence Guaranteeing Adult Students Unlimited Success (PEGASUS) Award.
PEGASUS Committee members will visit the three program sites as part of the selection process and announce their final selection at a conference in August.
More information about the PEGASUS Award can be found at www.literacyactionnetwork.org/supplemental-service-activities/pegasus-award.
